Presentation of the programme
The Eiffel scholarship programme of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs is designed to attract the best international students to Master's and Doctorate level courses.
The Eiffel scholarship, intended for candidates who demonstrate excellence, can only be awarded once in the student's entire career.
The fields of study concerned by the Eiffel scholarships are
- engineering sciences (Master's programme); mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences, nano and bio-technologies, earth, universe and environmental sciences, information and communication sciences and technologies (Doctoral programme)
- Economics and management,
- law and political science
Cases of ineligibility
- French government scholarship holders (even if it is a social security scholarship).
- Candidates who have already applied without success
- Direct applications from students or from foreign institutions
- Age limit: please see the information below on the respective components of the scheme
- Students may only submit one application.
Calendar
- Deadline for submission of applications to the Research and International Relations Department of the University of Evry: November 24, 2021.
- Transmission of applications by the University of Evry to Campus France: 7 January 2022.
- Results published online: week of April 4, 2022.

Procedure
Master's programme
- Your application for a scholarship under the Master's programme of the Eiffel programme must be completed by the person in charge of the Master's programme you are interested in at the University of Evry. You must therefore contact him/her and be accepted into his/her course.
- Please send him/her the following documents in a SINGLE PDF document (maximum size 3 MB):
- Curriculum Vitae: written in French or English (max 2 pages)
- Ranking: any document attesting to your excellence
- Professional project: written in French or English (max 2 pages). This document may be supported by an opinion from people outside the institution, for example from a company.
- Transcripts from the last 3 years
- Language certificate and/or diploma (if applicable)
- If you are accepted into the course and meet the criteria, you should ask your future supervisor whether he/she is prepared to support your application for an Eiffel scholarship.
- If so, he/she will fill in the application form with your help, which can be obtained from the DRRI.
The part concerning the international policy of the institution will be completed by the Department of Research and International Relations of the University of Evry once the application has been sent and validated by the Master's programme manager. You must send him/her a PDF version of all the documents requested in the application file.
- The teacher in charge of the course will send the application electronically to the Research and International Relations Department of the University of Evry before 24 November 2021, which will complete the application and submit it to Campus France for processing.
Please also note that only candidates who are 25 years old or less in March 2022 can apply for this programme.

Doctoral programme
- Your application for the Eiffel PhD programme must be completed by your laboratory director. He/she can obtain the application form from the DRRI.
- The part concerning the international policy of the institution will be completed by the University of Evry's Research and International Relations Department once the application has been sent and validated by the laboratory director. You must send all the documents requested in the application file in PDF format.
The laboratory director will send the application electronically to the Research and International Relations Department of the University of Evry before November 24, 2021, which will complete the application and submit it to Campus France for processing.
Please also note that only candidates aged 30 or less in March 2022 can apply for this scheme.
